Adulting

growing-up.png

Growing up has not been as easy as it looks. I can say however I think I have been getting the hang of it recently. I’ve learned being an adult isn’t just about knowing how to balance check books, how to do taxes, or even knowing how to be an adult. Being an adult also means you can make your own decisions. So if you want to go out and get wasted a couple hours before work, you can! Does that mean it’s right? Ehh, not really.

I’ve actually been learning a lot from others recently. What to do and maybe what not to do as well. I thrive off of criticism and  advice. Honestly I do! I like to know what people think I am doing wrong and I like to be able to fix mistakes. I can tell you i am not much of a partier, i do like to drink. But, not all the time. I have stricked rules. One of the biggest is no drinking on a night before work. That’s the responsible thing to do, right?

I will never understand how people do it! People can drink and go to work the next day like it never happened! wtf? how?! lol. anyways. I don’t really know where this post is exactly going, i just wanted to give a piece of my mind about “adulting.” For 21 i think i am doing pretty OK. 🙂

  1. Adult ing is hard… I’m 26 now and somehow responsible for a child, wife and a flat.
It’s terrifying at best, but my wife is smart and sometimes you just gotta… push passed those inner feelings of terror to get through things.
Weirdly, looking after my son is the easiest part, but being responsible for a flat? Oh man, the paperwork, the bills, telling people about changes of which there are so many!
The moment someone does anything you have to tell them straight away!

So far it’s going well but, I can constantly feel the danger of it all collapsing in on me haha.
3 years has gone ok though so far!

    1. I can definitely relate to the stress. I also agree about pushing passed things. If you have someone on/by your side, you have more stability I think. If I was doing this all on my own, I can say right now that it would be different. I don’t think I would have the confidence to even pay rent. I’d have to go back home and live there for a while.

      1. I felt exactly the same, sometimes stupid things become impossible for no reason. My wife helps a lot with that and my son pushes my determination to succeed as I want to be someone to look up to, not just look after him
